chal chal geyaaN paNkhiyaaN, jehnaaN wasaaey Tal,
Farida, sar bharyaa vee chalsee, Tehkey kanNwal ikal

The birds (wordly men) who occupied the pond (world)
have flown away. Farid, the pond will also become dry
one day but the Lotus flower (The Lord) will still be
blooming there all alone forever.
